About Us

Jason founded Beta Collective in Surrey BC back in 2014. It was partly out of passion, but mostly out of desperation when he first became a dad and could not get any work done at home. With the only options being noisy coffee shops or sterile libraries, he set out to open the region's first coworking space outside of the City of Vancouver. In doing so, Jason helped make coworking a viable option for many remote workers and digital nomads living in the suburbs.

A decade later, seeing the evolving need for a convenient and more holistic work environment, Jason relocated the workspace to Burnaby's popular Brentwood-Gilmore district where public transit, health services, retail, food and entertainment are literally at Beta's door step.

When he's not stocking up at Costco or grabbing supplies at Home Depot, you can find Jason tinkering frequently throughout the space to make sure his members are well-taken care of.
